Before you start print off the template by clicking the image on the left. This page has a bat template.

Using tape, fix the bat template to the coloured card. You may need to help your child cut around the shape.

Following the dotted lines on the template fold the wings, in opposite directions.

Cut out the finger holes. You may need to do this for your child. Remove the template.

You're now ready to start the decorating. Glue buttons or googly eyes, to make a face, and wool for a mouth.

Show your child how to push their fingers through the holes to give their puppet legs.

To punch the legs holes make a small hole with the scissors and let you child widen the hole with a pencil or large marker.
