In the episode "What Does Blue Want to Make?,"
Blue and Kevin have just finished making newspaper hats. But
Blue wants to make something else - a sock puppet. Now you
and your kids can make one just like they did on the show.
1.
Put a sock on your child's hand. Show them how to create a
mouth by tucking a portion of the sock between their thumb
and palm.
2.
For eyes, put glue on the back of the buttons and have your
child place them on the sock where their knuckles are.
3.
For hair, put glue on short lengths of the ribbon or wool
and have your child place it on the sock over the back of
their hand.
4.
Cut and put glue on a tongue-shaped piece of felt and have
your child stick it in the puppet's mouth.
5.
Make as many as you like, then act out a story with your puppets!
