Overtown Community Nursery and Toddlers - Scotland

Make an outdoor area, making a garden and a place of interest and adventure. This would engage children in our nursery and provide an opportunity to play, explore and discover nature and the outdoor environment. We would enhance the children's learning by building a den area and a sandpit. Creating cycle tracks would encourage phyiscal health and a sense of well-being. This would further develop Overtown Community Nursery in its health promoting endeavours. In this area, the children's interest would further be engaged by using particular plants to encourage insects and other wildlife. This would give the children more opportunity to investigate, explore, learn and develop an understanding of the world around them. Outdoor pursuits allow for a variety of learning experiences and all of this will give our small community a sense of ownership, togetherness and pride.
